Well I am now back in Australia in Melbourne.

I had a wicked time in New Zealand. It was good to see my dads family in Dunedin. Jen and I went to the Cadbury Factory which was fun, we got lots of free chocolate for answering questions and even got a tub of melted chocolate which was yummy, we actually got 2 as there were some left over! We also walked up the steepest street in the world and got a certificate for doing it.

After Dunedin we went and stayed on a farm for the night, we thought we'd be able to help out, milking cows and stuff but it wasnt like that at all. I did a 4 hour horse ride when i got there which was amazing, the scenery was out of this world. I really ached when i got back though! We went to cook dinner and it was really strange because it was just in the peoples house and we were looking in cupboards trying to find things while they were standing there! I didnt like it at all!! The next day they even forgot that we were there! They had to ring the magic bus to make sure they hadnt forgotten us as well!

We then went to Lake Tekapo, which was really nice, the bus driver had arranged a bbq and we all helped out with the cooking and preparing salads and stuff, there was so much food, it was a really nice evening. the next day I went to Mount Cook, with a lady June who we'd met on the bus. We did a 4 hour walk. The weather wasnt great so we couldnt see the tops of the mountains but at one point we did manage just to see the peak! We got back around 6pm and after spending some time in my room I saw June at reception and she had been kicked out of her room! they had messed up her booking even though she had booked days in advance and people of the magic bus had just turned up that day and got a bed. Me and Jen were arguing with the women on reception, she was really rude. they put June up in another hostel but she wasnt happy, but rightly so!

Next was Christchurch which was really nice, we met up with a guy simon who we'd met on the north island and went on the tram and went punting on the river avon which was so much fun. we even got to have a go ourselves, i wasnt very good at it! We also met up with Anna who we met in Cairns. We went round her house to watch a film one night then we went on a roadtrip to Hanmer Springs to the hot pools.

Then the best part of the trip Kaikoura! I SWAM WITH DOLPHINS! it was amazing. I got all kitted up with a wetsuit and snokel gear then we had to get a bus to the boat and were shown a demonstation on how to snorkel then we went out about an hour to where the dolphin were and got in to the water with the dolphin it was amazing i cant believe how many there were, a few hundred i'd say, they came so close it was unbeliveable! we got in the water with them about 5 times then we followed them on the boat and took lots of pictures. I got some really good ones (check them out on facebook). I bought an underwater camera while on the boat but it didnt work very well so not sure if the pictures will come out.

We went out in Kaikoura and did a pub quiz and guess what we won!! ha ha its becoming a regular thing although we did kind of cheat! The guy reading the questions decided to sit next to me so i could see all the answers! he he we won a $50 bar tab and finally got our creamy teapots!

The final stop was Picton we only stopped there as the hostel we stayed in had free chocolate cake and ice cream! it was amazing def worth staying there for.

We then got back to Lisa's and spent a week there before heading back over here. We met up with Trevor and Amie a couple we met in Cairns and hired a crocadile bike and went to the beach which was fun, the weather was really nice for the last few days in New Zealand.

So now back in Melbourne but heading to Perth on Wednesday to look for a job!! x
