Ok, soo biggest day of the tour! OMG! We were up at 4 am to go Hot Air Ballooning over West Bank of Luxor. Yep, never gone before and what a place to do it. Egypt's landscape is amazing, it's the only place in the world where you can see desert and plush farms right next to each other and to see that, with temples and the Nile at sunrise, is one of the most amazingly tranquil things ever. After that, we had our last buffet breakky on the cruise and then went to the Valley of the Kings. No cameras for a reason, the colours in these tombs is still soo vibrant in some places it is amazing. There was no treasure in any of the tombs except for Tutankhamen's which has all bee relocated to various museums. There were scars on the tombs from when the early Christians hid in there, and from just time defeating the art work. The Valley of the Kings was my favourite part of the tour and I would return there in a minute to visit more. Temple of Hatshepsut was the only temple carved into a wall of a mountain. Built three stories high and truly grand, the temple didn't survive her crazed nephew which pretty much destroyed every statue of her he could find. The final stop of the day was Colossi of Memnon which contained 134 columns which there was also a statue that It was said that if you walk around it 4 times it is good luck in love, 5 good luck for children, 6 times for wealth… so I was greedy and walked around 15 times… who says we cant try to have it all… after that, we drove to Hurgarda, where the Egyptian driving was interesting…
