A lovely Italian dinner followed by our search for the famous Green Salon nightclub. John had ironed up his Carpe Diem shirt (memories of Hvar) and had his dancing shoes on. Let's just say it wasn't easy to find! The streets here are a trap for young players - no grid design here! Streets just meander this way and that, and before you know it you are completely bamboozled. Even john's google aerial shot of the city (which has been invaluable:) was rendered useless. Somehow as we turned a corner feeling all was lost - there shining in the distance was the green glow of the Green Salon. Triumphantly we ran towards the light, it was 10.30 and we were ready to show those Berliniers how to party. Sadly, the place didn't open until 11pm - obviously not catering for older party goers:) poor Johno - that shirt has still not graced a dance floor - perhaps Prague! We wandered home, shoulders low, and had a consoling wine in the hotel bar with the other old farts who were too old to party:(
Tomorrow the Fat Tire bike ride.
