We were woken up extremely early today to go for our second surf (the instructors go out at 5 am!) only to found out there had been rats in our room during the night - EW! Anyway, we had some brekkie and headed for the beach. The current was seriously strong today and I could really feel it, I surfed for a while trying not to get washed out to sea (!) and packed up ready to get back on the bus. I brought some boardies so I could complete the surfer gal look (haha) and we set off for Byron. Byron is a really cool place. Known for being quite alternative but nevertheless and good place to be. Very chilled out and colourfull. We're staying at the holiday village which was a great hostel as all the rooms were in a horse shoe shape around big benches so it was really sociable. We all met at Cheeky Monkeys (the notorious bar in Byron) for a meal and night out. The tables turn into the dance floor and its a wicked night. All of us from out bus got on really well and had a fab time. It definatly lived up to its reputation. . .
