Hi, what a crazy week we have had. After spending 3 days in Darwin, (water slides, Mindil beach markets, holding baby crocs) we headed down to magical Kakadu. Sunset cruise in Coroboree billabong, spotting crocs, and birds. The next day discovering Ubir and watching the sunset over Arnhem Land. The following day off to Cooinda and we experienced an amazing tour with a traditional aboriginal woman, who showed us how and where to find "bush tucker". Later that day we ate what we collected, which included magpie geese, wild boar, buffalo, freshly caught Barramundi and pippies. It was all cooked in a ground oven and wrapped in paperbark. Oh forget to mention the crushed green ants which were unbelievably good!!
Final day in Kakadu we stayed in an awesome camp ground called Gunlom Falls. The swimming holes were spectacular and the dingoes howling at night was really haunting.
At the moment we are in Katherine for a re stock in supplies and then heading down to Waterloo Station near Kununurra.
So far we have heard gun shots at one camp site, dingoes in another, and an attack by a swarm of Mosquitos which kept us all up till midnight!!

CAD Rob you will have to bring some ants back so we can all taste them on a ride. Glad you are having a great time. We will have to call you "the bush tucker man"
Electra Pauletta, you still look beautiful dressed in your camping gear - you can make anything look stylish. Sounds like you are all having a ball. Stay away from those crocs! X lec
mum xxxxxxooooo I can't believe how you have settled into this feral lifestyle so easily---- no complaints? Your precious Ruby is not suited a country lifestyle as on Sunday he managed to attack one of my beloved chickens within one minute of arrival--he spent the rest of the holiday tied up under the dining table.
Benno Team, What an adventure, all that's missing is 4 bikes! Drive safe and see if you can get up in your cousins helicopter for some action photos.
Adele Wow looks amazing and your hair is still looking fab Pauletta! It's such a great experience for the kids are they loving the camping, people, wildlife and scenery? Enjoy. Ainsley gone skiing with some mates so at the other extreme re temperature wise. First time away from home without her own parents ..........not sure who was more nervous! Bless x Have fun Adele x
Dale I LOVE the sound of this adventure! Would love to hear the dingoes at night, like a story book. Would leave the mossies out of the ideal story though!
Grumpy Hi guys, sounds like your trip is going well, hope the trailer isn't too broken Rob. After my flight back I woke up to 2 deg. The next morning in Sydney, a far cry from the temperatures in Darwin. I'm sure you have a lot more exploring ahead so good luck and stay well to the whole family.
