Well here we are in Alice Springs! A journey that took us from Broome to Halls Creek and then another 700km on dirt heading East across the Southern Kimberley region. This area is remote and spectacular and in three days only passed one car. The gorges were as good as the Gibb River and we free camped in some great remote spots.
Pauletta even managed to buy some Aboriginal Artwork from a small community we stayed at called Kalkarindi where we also met a great local cop who entertained Tahlia & Jack along with the local Aboriginal kids.
Last night we camped at the Devils Marbles where a friendly Dingo feasted on left overs!
Pauletta's Birthday tomorrow so needless to say that we are not in the camper trailer tonight or tomorrow. I think she deserves a few days of rest in a somewhat sophisticated environment! Birthday wishes will be welcome.

John Sheldon Hi Guys. Firstly, a belated Happy Birthday to Pauleta. Sorry we missed it. We've been following your amazing adventure with interest and longing. Loved the shoes Pauleta bought in Broome, what did Rob buy? How was Alice? Where to now? The weather here it what's called the "big smoke" is freezing. Look forward to reading about the next phase. Big hugs John and Margaret
