Hi Peeps!

We have spent the last couple days in Lima, Sunday morning everyone was really hungover from our night out so we didn´t get up very early. We ended up going to Macdonalds for some hangover junk food (how bad is that, with all the cuisine in Peru and we still found Maccy D´s!) Afterwards we had a breif tour of the central city but a lot was closed off as President Bush was in town along with other world leaders for a conference of some kind. We went underneath one of the monastries and walked around the catacombes which contained thousands of human skeletons, the smell was really dingy. After breathing in lots of fresh air again we headed to our tour leader´s mum´s house where she had prepared sandwiches and cakes with homemade hot chocolate for us - it was lovely! We then headed to the cinema where we flaked out with sweets and popcorn and enjoyed James Bond: Quantum of Solace.

Yesterday we hit the beach for most of the day where we nearly got washed away by an unexpected wave! Everything got soaked! After drying off we headed back and went out for pizza with some of the guys that we wouldn´t be seeing again before leaving to go to the bus station to get our night bus to Trujillo.

It was sad leaving yesterday as alot of people left the tour and now there are just 7 of us heading up to Quito. The group feels very small compared to the 16 of us that there was a couple days ago. Can´t believe how quick the time is going, only 2 weeks until we leave for NewZealand.

No sign of Xmas decs out here yet
