Buenos Dias!

Yesterday we left Nasca early and got a bus to Pisco. On the way we stoped in Ica where some people took up sand buggying around the dunes while a few of us lazed around the pool for a couple of hours (again). We then visited a Pisco factory and tried more samples of Pisco. Chile claims to be Pisco´s (the drink) original manufacturer but Peru had the presence of mind to trade mark the name which is why we were staying in a town named after it yesterday, Pisco. We continued onto Pisco after the factory and arrived to our hotel which was right ont he sea front. It was lovely to see the coast and hear the sea again after such a long time of dessert and mountains. In the evening we went to a fish restaurant and enjoyed nice dishes of sea bass and calimari.

This morning we got up early and took a boat out to Ballesta Islands. It was brilliant, the sun was shinning and we saw loads of penguins and sealions all basking on the rocks and beach and playing in the sea. When we got back at lunch time we left and headed for Lima, the capital of Peru. Tonight we are going to a nice fish restaurant and then out for some goodbye drinks as some people are leaving us tomorrow.
