Heeellllooo!! (",)
Well we decided against going to Laos as we heard lots of bad stories about the place. And even though there were nice ones too, we changed our minds. As we had already bought our tickets to Undonthani (last stop before Loas) we decided to still go there and get a over night train to Bangkok. We did that, bus took 13 hrs from Chiang Mai to Undonthani. We then had to wait until 7.15pm that evening to get the train down to Bangkok. We arrived this morning at 7am in Bangkok where we got another bus to Ban Phe 3.45hrs later we found the little city. From there we got a boat over to KOH SAMET!! This place is so so so nice!!We read up about it before we came and about accomadation. This place gets very busy at weekends where travelers and Thai people come for a few days to get away from it all .Resulting to the prices going up on average of 60%.As its a national park you have to pay 200 baht to enter, but instead of getting on a truck/taxi that takes you to your destination via the pay gate we decided to as walk and find a place to stay.We got off the boat and headed along our the coastal path for abit trying to look out for some good/cheap accomadation. After walking again for a bit we decided we were down the wrong side of the island. The more peaceful yet more expensive part of the island.not what we could really afford. We stopped a motorbike and asked the two guys where on the map we were.Confirming we were on the wrong side they asked us what were where looking for.We explained cheap accom and explained that we would just head back. Then one of them explained they are in the middle of building a new holiday resort and that they had a hut we could use for 400 baht instead of 600.They gave us a lift one at a time to the place and explained further that we didnt have to stay if we werent sure.Kie arrived first so when i got there i looked at him and he didnt look to sure as it was amoungst a few unfinnished huts. But when we looked inside, for the money we had really done well.It has a double bed, shower, toilet and is about 20 step away from the sea.lol!! The owners are both english and really nice people. We have both booked the hut up til sunday. Not bad at all around 3pounds each per night.
After dropping off our stuff we ate at a thai resturant, two meals with drinks just under 2pound. Just 5 min walk up the road fromthe hut.We then went to the first main beach. The sand its sooO white ive never ever seen anything like it! The sea was also very clear blue and warm.lol so weird.Mot like home where you worrie about getting frost bite from putting a toe in the water.lol. We have decided that tomorrow we will swim, chill, walk , chill, eat, chill, sunbathe, chill, ect... We are both at one of the beaches now.If it wasnt so dark we would be able to see the water.lol.This bar/internet cafe/ Restuarant is one of a few along the front.Very conveient. They have jet skies, massages, snorkling, scuba diving , boat trips available act..The nxt few days should be really aventfull.Sorry i there mor spelling mistakes than usuall, im really tired and finding it hard to keep my eyes open.Lack of sleep from the traveling.lol.Hope all is well for everyone x x x x lots of love Kie and han
