Hey peeps!!
Been out exploring bangkok the last couple of days. This city is soo big! We found one or two shopping centres but there is over 5 -6 of them, over 40 cinemas.Crazy.Each shopping centre has about 7 floors to it. Theres a couple that seem quite empty, they have all the designer shops in them. Then we found one called MBK another 7 floors, but each floor is more of a market full of stalls, and shops. You can pretty much barter in them all.Everything really is cheap over here, when i say cheap example, we can both eat in a nice resturant with a drink each for 2.00 or you can eat from a street stall and thats about 20p each!! its hard to belive they make any profit on anything.Last night we took a trip to the cinema the film ,popcorn and a drink came to 4.00 then we went again tonight at a different one equally as nice and it cost 2.00 for both of us.again with drink and popcorn and recliner seats. At the begining of each film everyone stands u for the king as they play a short film with the national anthem onit.
Whilst walking around the shopping centre today we both had a traditional Thai massage, i never knew i could bend in so many ways.lol We both layed there while they pulled pushed, leant, stood on us.Some of it really hurt, but i guess thats how its supposed to be.I did feel really supple after.lol!! an hour with a thai tea for after was 4.50. soo good.We also bought some tickets for a train to Chiang Mai, its going to be an over night train 14 hrs arriving at 9.20am on sat. 10 pounds each! its about the same distance as going from home to scotland.Oh and last night on our way to check out the night market down town , we came across the redlight district.Every step we took there was people trying to get us to see a "ping pong" show lol.It sounded quite intriging but we decided against it, but will proberly go on our way back to Bangkok.
I think thats everything for a mo, will update again soon!!Hope everyone is all good at home, lots of love kie and han x x x x x
