merry christmas y'all!

we're having a great time in new zealand - enjoying being back in western civilisation after 2 months of africa. missing the heat (its only mid 20s here! damn eh!) and the wonderful african people. also took a bit of time getting use to cleanliness and the availability of goods again (you can walk into a supermarket and get anything, why didnt i appreciate that before!)

kezzy, mo and mos mum hired a car in christchurch and have travelled the coast line round the south tip of the south island. Just beautiful. amazing mountains and brilliant little towns. We sailed down the milford sound which was beautiful and we walked yesterday through a rainforest which was stunning. will get pictures up eventually!

seen a lot of the sets that they used for lord of the rings - kezz bought a book on the different locations and we've been going for a nosey, really good fun.

Today, we are in franz joesph, a small town at the bottom of a glacier - what a place to spend christmas. We're having a ball. There is a street party at 3pm, all the hostels are chipping in and providing a free barbeque for all the guests. as its ones street they are doing it there - we've just to bring the booze! ye ha!

Wish we could nip home and spend xmas with you all - will try and catch the family on skype if we can.
