It was a long night on the train up to Bangkok from Ao Nang - all the sleeper cabins were sold out so we had to make do with seats :-/ We eventually arrived in the early morning on Monday 27 August. After a bit of wandering around the station area looking for transport, we managed to catch a local bus to the area that we stayed in previously and quickly found a simple guest house for the night. By that time we were starving, so we headed off to Rambuttri road for the cheap, delicious street food that we had missed so much! Afterwards we stopped in at a dentist where Monique had her inflamed gum seen to, and then we just wandered around some more doing a bit of last-minute shopping. That evening we had one last Thai massage before grabbing some dinner and then making our way back to the room to pack. The bed was incredibly hard (kinda like someone had just put a sheet over a piece of wood) - so we had a bit of an uncomfortable night's sleep :-/

Tuesday we were up early to finish off the packing. We had a quick breakfast at a place just up the road, making it back just in time for our pickup to the airport. The airport is enourmous, so we were glad that we arrived with plenty of time to spare. After a lot of walking and a little Burger King snack, we boarded our plane to Kuala Lumpur, the stopover on the way to our next destination - India!
