I deserve a medal! Why? Because I successfully managed to wee on a moving bus...in the dark. I do mention `successfully` as many people manage to wee on a moving bus, even in the dark, but the results...well, I`d hardly give them a gold star...

Let me explain: Kevin & I had just hopped on a bus from Sao Paulo around 19h30 so it was almost dark outside. In the evenings, the bus driver lowers the light setting in the bus so it was quite dimley lit. I needed go to go the bathroom which was close to where we were sitting. I opened the door and it was dark inside (for those that don`t know, I`m not a huge fan of the dark) I glanced at Kevin with a look of worry on my face but he just smiled sweetly and told me "Off you go..." I gingerly climbed into the stall, shut the door and locked it figuring it would cause the light to come on - no such luck. I had brought a tissue into the bathroom with me which I used to put over the door handle and I used that to hold on to as I hovered over the toilet. Just at that moment the bus driver decided it was a good time to speed up and take some corners like a mad man. Then the lights flicked on and I was able to see. Too bad EVERYTHING was in Spanish so I just stood looking very confused (which is what I look like most days in South America!) Where was the loo paper? How do I flush? Honestly, it wasn`t very obvious. After some serious self-talk I managed to locate the above-mentioned while being thrown around the stall. I bust open the door, flopped down on my seat and reaching for the anti-bac wipes (bless the person who invented them) and decided that that was the first and last time I tried to wee on a moving bus. That`s all good but we`ve got some 23 hour bus journeys ahead of us so we`ll see what happens...
