Kevin and Joannie on tour
We woke up late and sneaked around the house in case we woke anyone else up. It turned out Phil and Penny had done the same and were walking Mindy on the beach.Penny suggested that we had waffles for breakfast. Christine had pulled up a recipe online. Unfortunately there was only olive oil in the pantry so Phil went out to buy Canola oil.Phil and Penny have a waffle iron which batter is poured into and closed and a few minutes later you have big fluffy waffles. Joan has never made waffles before, and despite getting batter everywhere, managed to produce something like the real thing. The whole family ate them out in the garden.Penny had to go shopping for Father's day as well as visit her Dad, so she dropped us off at our flat mid afternoon. After catching up on the blog and a bit of reading, we headed out to the supermarket to buy things to take back. This included Reese's peanut butter chips for cooking, Canadian measuring cups and some fizz from Canada.
Our reservation for dinner was for 9.30. It was the first outing we have done with all of us, including Billy, Stephanie and Christine. As we approached the CN Tower we could see people doing the edge walk around the tower top. Scary!
Once inside, we were ushered into a lift with a glass window that rose quickly to the main deck. Joan didn't look. We were early for dinner so had a chance to stand on the glass floor and admire the sunset.By the time we were seated for dinner, it had gone dark and there were great views of the city lights. It's a revolving restaurant and we did one whole turn whilst we ate. The food was good too! Around midnight we head home.
