After breakfast, we walked down to Phil and Penny's. They had taken one of their precious days off to spend the day with us. (They don't get anywhere as near the holidays we do.)
We drove downtown to the Harbour front and enjoyed looking at all the boats there. The weather was scorching.
Then we ate lunch at Amsterdam Brewhouse on the Lake. Penny and Joan hit the Mojitos while Phil and Kevin enjoyed a beer,
After lunch we caught a ferry to Centre Island from where there were great views of the cityscape and the CN Tower. We all fantasised about owning a boat like the huge ones we saw. Tomorrow there is a dragon boat race there and marquees and gazebos were being erected.
We decided to hire a quadricycle to enable us to see the whole island from end to end. Joan and Penny did all the hard work whilst Phil and occasionally Kevin messed up the steering. It was a good laugh.
After a cool beer we caught the ferry home, went to the LCBO and Loblaws Supermarket to buy mezze for dinner. We ate dinner in the back garden and sat up until 3. It was late so we crashed out there rather than walking home. A really fantastic day!
