Summary...
As mentioned previously my entire experience of Australia has been all so different to how I felt in Asia. I'm not sure if it's a combination of having already experienced a few months of travelling and so being less enthusiastic or the expense of Australia being a bit of a downer but it's been no secret that I enjoyed travelling around Asia much more.
I spoke to a few people about this whilst travelling and they agreed if you travel Asia before Australia then people don't enjoy it as much. Travelling up the east coast of Australia was simply one big party. Despite the Australian people being the most fantastic, friendly and kind hearted I have come across, I didn't feel like I learnt a lot from the history or culture. I wasn't in the right place in my life to appreciate the partying scene, I felt like I was back at university again and under pressure every night to go out and drink but in the end just ended up staying in more often on my own.
My favourite part of Australia was Sydney and Byron Bay as well as meeting the people we stayed in touch with on our trips. For now I am relieved to be moving onto a new experience in another place. I'm hoping the enthusiasm for my blog posts will come back!
