Hi everyone we have arrived back in Rome after an amazing 2 week tour of Italy. We have eaten some amazing food and seen some beautiful places, most of which were off the usual tourist track. Will try to upload some piccies and fill in the spaces!!

Venice was the last stop on our tour. It is made up of a group of islands around a lagoon and a mainand area.Apparently Venice is no longer sinking ( well other than at the same rate as everywhere else!) Travel anywhere was by boat. We had a fun ride on a gondala ( I think Glenn was worried it might tip over) and a tour by water taxi at night. The next day we went to the Murano glass factory and bought some beautiful glasses and then had a lovely lunch at Burano....

Very hot today. We had a look around the Vatican Museum, with about a million other tourists ( that is what it felt like!!!!!)

Hi all We have arrived in Rome after a very exciting trip from Milan on a train that could do 300km per hour!! It didn't feel like it on the inside of the train.Wish there were trains like this in Sydney. The station was a fair distance from our hotel so we took a taxi. Italian roads are chaotic. Everyone arrived and we went for a lovely dinner and then for a night tour of Rome.
