Not a whole lot went on today. Got up really early due to some bush turkeys which are located in a forest behind our van the little feckers.
Had a quick breakie with our little friend Claire who was 2 and camped next to us! We headed to beach at about 10am for some sun - was a really lovely day. The sky was blue and the sand was hot! Loads of surfers in water also, would love to take it up, although the waves today weren't massive. Looking forward to seeing them on Bondi!
Once we finished our bathing we drove into Byron and got some lunch from a burger joint down an alley off main street. The side alleys are really best places to eat all over oz! Value for money and delicious!
We tried to book into hand gliding but the wind for last 2 days was non-existent so we were out of luck, which really was a pity as you get to glide around Byron lighthouse and everything. Still, we'll keep our eyes open for more companies down the coast as we leave Byron tomorrow.
Carol bought a new dress in Billabong shop and we headed for home. Made a nice steak stir fry for dinner before settling into van to catch up on some reading (ken - Internet, carol - book!).
Long day of driving ahead tomorrow - need to drive to Coffs Harbour and then onto Port Macquarie for sleep over! On Wednesday, we head to Palm beach where the beach scenes in Home and Away are filmed. Carol is very very excited.
