Went to Gas Town today, which wasn't very far from where we are staying. Was very refreshing to see such a contrast from Vancouver itself, i.e. the built up city feel. Had a fairly easy day today; visited Granville Island in the afternoon. We walked across the bridge into another little world! Visited the famous market, which held arts and crafts and the usual fruit and veg. The craft section was definately mine and Amy's scene! Me and Amy walked around with a coffee and hot chocolate, then sat and overlooked the harbour! Was a beautiful day...definately felt on holiday mode!

Visited Stanley Park; we wanted to make most of the weather, as it was a beautiful sunny day. The park is huge - 1000 acres. We only managed to cover a small area in the couple of hours we spent there. The totem poles were the highlight for me! Visited North Vancouver - where we had to get a sea bus across to the North! From here we visited Grouse Mountain. The bus journey to the mountain was lovely, as we got to see a different perspective of the city. Once at Grouse Mountain, we had to ride a cable cart, where the views were breath taking! Well, the flight over to Canada was pretty restless. Took 9 hours, but flight was delayed by an hour! Once off the plane we made our way by two trains towards our hostel. I couldn't believe how helpful everyone seemed to be - this made our journey less stressful - which was great after a long arse flight!
