This morning I waved goodbye to Andrew who was travelling back to Australia and I was heading off to Pai by bus. The bus journey from Chiang Mai is three hours with a total of 762 bends to navigate, I had been told that it was to be a stomach churning three hours. Another really early start today took me on a tour of Chiang Rai and in to one of the neighbouring countries, Laos. In totally it was about 10hr bus ride there and back, if I had known this at the time I probably wouldn't have gone. So after 13hrs on a train which was very comfortable, tucked up in my little bed, I arrived in Chiang Mai. The only downside to the train was needing a wee twice, peeing in to a hole in the floor and on to the train track is not a nice experience. Last night sleeping with just a fan was not a good nights sleep and then add in the numerous mosquito bites that have almost taken over my feet, I was losing the will to live.
