Just an overnight stay in Bangkok this time as we have booked the bus to Surat Thani tomorrow. Not much to say about Surat Thani as it's only a stop-over on our way to the islands, but I have to tell you about our escape from Cambodia!! The journey to the boarded crossing of Poi Pet took us five hours. Five of the worst hours of our lives! Our mini bus was by far the oldest, crappest looking thing we have ever seen, it had a wonky sliding door, a hole in the floor and a mass of wires where the dash board used to be. Sua s'dei! The madness of this place continues! After a long hot bus journey that took three hours longer than it should we arrived at Siem Reap bus station.
