This trip is definitely teaching me that it really is the small things in life that you should really be thankful for and appreciate. Take yesterday and today for example, last night's high point was most certainly the hot shower that I enjoyed. The most amazing part had to be the abundant water and the fact that the water did not once lose any heat. To be honest the water was actually too hot at some points and I was not able to add enough cold water to cool it down sufficiently. After the numerous cold showers and no showers of the past 7 weeks I thought I had crossed over and was in heaven as the water cascaded over me.
Today the good times kept rolling. Started the day with internet fast enough to skype mum and dad and Jaye. Fast internet is not something we are always blessed with and it is pure bliss when it works and the people you want to talk to are in the right spot at the right time and internet decides to allow you the speed to actually hold a conversation. Later this afternoon we arrived back in Jinja at a different campsite (same owners, different location) and we were greeted with the news that to stay in the dorms, in a bed, was the same cost as camping (so included in our cost of the trip). It was then our decision as to whether we wanted to set up our tents or not...? hmmm, give me a moment... shall I check with Laura...? hmmm, hell no, I was sleeping in a bed!!! Whoop whoop!! As I said it is the small things. Now you may be thinking, a dorm? are you sure you made the right decision? Well let me assure and remind you from your own camping days that canvas does not muffle any noise and we are basically sleeping in one big dorm in a field every night we camp, so the luxury of a single bunk bed over our floor mats is pure bliss and the noise is going to be least of my problems. The bunk beds even have a built in mosquito net over the bunk so really life could not get much better at present.
