I loved it here, def one of my fav places in nz. stayed a total of 5nts here, only downer is it totally stinks from the volcanic going on's!! Finally managed to go White water rafting whilst here & had the best time ever was so cool & scary at the same time. Eilish & me went hoping there would be other girls instead we got stuck with 18 members of the army GREAT. Anyhows once again the guide picked on me & stuck me at the back of the raft with him where I could only keep myself in the raft through the rapids with one foot wedged in... It was soooooo cold that it was almost impossible to hold on where my hands had gone so numb & when we all fell in it must have been the coldest I have ever been in my life!! We were going down the river through the rapids for just under 2hrs & for the last rapid the guide decided that I would become the guide.... Brilliant little miss get her left & right muddled all the time had to give orders of how we were to paddle!! Well as usual I got in a tiz & we ended up going round in circles & being taken out by a tree ha ha. That night we went out & had a little to much to drink as found a bar where drinks were a pound BONUS. Also got a gondola up a mountain so we could go on the luge (kinda like a go-cart) 2km back down the mountain, was wicked. Eilish was like driving miss daisy in hers so Liam & me decided to race we had 5 go's 3 on the normal run then 2 on a harder & I'm pleased to say although I nearly killed myself a few times as kept stacking it round the bends I came out champion. Yesterday we visited Wai-O-Tapu thermal wonderland as it's famous here for hot, cold & mud pools, had a good nose around although didn't stay to long as the smell was so bad that I was on the verge of being sick, Eilish & Liam were in fits of laughter at me!! Drove down to Lake Taupo for lunch & look round the shops, on way back to Rotorua we stopped at Huka falls which was v.impressive till found out it has a little bit of help so not a natural falls!!
