Our last Morning in Korovou and Ziggy even made that fun. We had breakfast, cereal and pineapple and checked out. Then ziggy suggested we go find something in the sea. No idea what he was talking about but neil, amanda and i followed him into the corally seabed. He stopped us and showed us what we were picking. They looked like tiny bunches of grapes. It was a type of seaweed you could eat.
Once we picked a fair amount it was time for another Fijian cooking lesson! He made coconut milk and and washed the seaweed thoroughly! We added line juice and lots of fresh veg! It tasted really good with fresh chilli and accompanied with boiled root veg!
It was time for us to get on the boat. We said our goodbyes and sailed off to the next island Nabua Lodge. We met the girls we met on the Seaspray on the boat. We would all be on the same island this time. It was our longest ferry ride and we managed to watch half of Journey to the Mysterious Island with the Rock and Michael Caine an excellent film!
Our hut was nice but not as good as the others as the bed wasn't very comfortable and the bathroom looked incomplete. Neil did not feel good so he slept while I played volleyball with the girls and locals. I was awful! Neil joined us after a bit. It was Fijian night so our dinner was being cooked in an underground oven. Dinner was served buffet style a feast for all, pork, chicken, fresh fish, root veg, salad, coleslaw and fruit! It was all delicious! A ridiculously yummy spinach and coconut milk dish was superb.
After dinner there was entertainment in the form of traditional fijian singing and dancing. They got us up dancing and doing the hokey cokey, which was lots of fun.
We went to bed and Neil was still feeling awful. It must have been the seaweed we had picked from the ocean.
