We were ready for 7am to be picked up by the coach to take us to Denaru Port to catch the boat to our first Island. We were picked up at 7:25 and arrived at the port at 8am. We checked in and got our itinerary which also came with a awesome adventures hat and sarong and photo book. We checked in our bags and went to buy more suncream as that morning I had dropped the new one which broke the bottle. Our boat was boarding at 8:15 and leaving at 8:30 so we got cash out and bought two large cappuccinos and a ham and cheese toastie. Breakfast consumed we got in the boat next stop Bounty Island.
We were the only two getting off our stop and the island looked beautiful. Paradise. Palm trees, blue sea and golden sand. We checked in and got our bure key. A beach facing hut with our own hammock mad good!
Lunch was served buffet style, a vegetable and a meat curry/stew, rice, salad, jacket potato, fruit. The vegetable stew was delicious, think it was island grown egg plant.
After lunch we let it digest with a hammock lie down and then we went for a snorkel. I've never been off the beach snorkelling so I learnt to put the flippers on back facing the sea and walking into the ocean backwards. The water was a little choppy so I choked on the water a couple if times but other than that the fish and coral were colourful and exciting to see.
We went back to the hut for a shower and change and went back to the bar for happy hour. I had a Mai Tai and a Dodolomo which taste the same.
Dinner was served 18:30 till 20:30, we had roast pork, vegetables and boiled potatoes. It was cold and could of had more seasoning but a good portion. There was a desert of chocolate cake and ice cream which filled us up. We watched the rain fall down heavily while we spoke to two English girls. Kirsty who was in the last few days of her 11month travels and Faye who had been living in New Zealand but was relocating to Australia after a stop of in Fiji. We also spoke to a German lady called Karin who has a b&b in New Zealand were she has lived for the last 30years.
Food, rain and talk had made us tired so we went back to the bure for a game of scrable and sleepy times.
