We left Koh Samui just in time for the Black Moon Party and also just in time to escape the rain. Unfortunately, the latter followed us to Koh Phangan.

We stayed at the A1 Koh Phangan and I'd highly recommend it to anyone visiting the island.

I've heard the island has a lot to offer, it's beauty, it's peacefulness and so on, but for us, it was somewhere to dump the bags, party and move on.

The Black Moon Party, unlike the Full Moon Party, is a pay to enter event. It's small, set drink prices and one DJ. It was good due to the fact we hasn't partied recently, but if I were to visit the island again, I'd give the BMP a miss. It lives of the reputation of the FMP, it's more expensive and the music and atmosphere can't compete.
