S: After the most comfortable night bus, we arrived in Hanoi with it pouring down with rain. We got to our hostel, and then we decided to go for a walk about in the city. It was so busy, with a different street for everything. A street for shirts, a street for trousers etc....
We ended up in a very nice coffee shop, and had the most gorgeous cheesecake. It was a great treat, and after travelling so much in Vietnam, well deserved.
J: We made a plan to rent a bike for a few days and ride around. We found a recommended bike shop and sorted a deal for a semi-automatic Honda Wave. I've never had gears and about to take on the busiest country in the world for bikes.... I was excited. The bloke wanted a driving license as a deposit while we had the bike, I said "shouldn't I keep that incase I get stopped?", he replied "it doesn't matter if you have it, your license is worthless here. If you're stopped by police just ask for the embassy, there's so much paperwork they will let you go". What epic advice!
