S: After the treetop walk we hit the coast road again, to be travelling the 'Great Ocean Road' was fantastic. We wanted to visit the 12 Apostles, wow. They are amazing although there may not be quite 12 nowadays, but they sure do have quite a presence lol. Next on the list we visited the arch and London Bridge. It's amazing to think what the ocean is really capable of and what it leaves behind is natural beauty. The London Bridge is no longer accessible as it fell through in 1990, stranding two tourists. Personally I think it should have waited till we arrived and then the two boys could have got stranded lol.
J: The Great Ocean Road is the most fantastic scenery drive I've been on. We later found a great campsite in Warrnambool. We had picked up some steak and squid on route and we had that BBQ'd. That evening we walked to the fair and found the bumper-cars! We were all laughing like happy school kids and the guys on the ride encouraged the bumping, all I could remember was Mel and Yuri permanently hitting me from one side or the other. The next morning my ribs knew about it lol. But we took a morning walk along the beach and saw all the kids in the "little nippers" which is the surf/lifeguard kid's activity club. It's an excellent thing as it teaches surf safety, good skills, and keeps them fit.
