We caught the train early in the morning arrived about 11 ish then we went straight to Capitol Hill and then we started to hunt for the White House,to see where Bush hangs out i swear i saw about 5 replicas before we got to the real one but i was quite surprised how far away it was and you couldnt see alot of it...apart from the snipper on the roof!!!! We then walked to the Washington Monument which was very tall and then walked over to the refelcting pools which were lovely especially as it was a clear day and really sunny was nice just to sit and watch it all as everything seems to be in one place. We then went and saw the World war II Memorials which were fountains and all the names listed, i searched for a Bewshear and surprise surprise none found - dad where is that surname from anyway!!!! Whener i book into a hostel they say they dont expect me to be english because of the spelling of my first name and such an unusual surname they keep asking me where its from but i keep making it up some times i say Bulgaria, other times i say Poland because i just dont know!!!!Walked along to the Lincoln memorial and then we walked about a million miles over the arlington bridge to see the arlington cemetary which was massive and was so shocked that it had thousands and thousands of small white graves and others big plots for families etc was quite sad, saw where JFK was burried and there were tombs for unknown soldiers from wars and tombs for soldiers from Iraq etc. We then had a great idea to go and find the pentagon which meant walking next to a motorway in the darkl but there was a path we finally made it and you know what it doesnt even look in a pentagon shape! very disapointed!!!! was dark so we couldnt really see alot then made our merry way home to NYC
