Hi GuysWell the 3 hour ferry ride over here was bloody awful! the first 45 mins were smooth sailing then it seemed to hit a rough patch and the boat was huge like a cruise boat but we were going all over the place we were on the 8th floor and water was at the windows everyone was throwing up it was horrible but you will all be pleased to know miraculously i found some sea legs and wasnt sick maybe i might give the diving another go...well maybe not! Well Picton is a small seaside town where the ferry terminals are as this is where you cach the ferry to the north island, the ferry takes 3 hours and the size of it put the seacat to shame!!! We have our ferry booking all set for the 2nd jan at 1.15 in the afternoon and we have to drop off our lovely hire car with the squeaky wheels and then pick up another one at Wellington when we get off the ferry! Camping again tonight grrr!!!! hate camping we have hardly us...

We arrived in Nelson for New Years Eve and now we know this was naughty but we booked into a nice hotel again, we did try ringing round the hostels and tried about 7 of them but they were all fully booked so we stayed in a lush hotel and we stayed in watching sky films all night, now all you people out there may think this was boring but when your travelling tv is a luxury and we couldnt afford to go out anyway so we had a good night all the same and had a lovely...

We came here as we wanted to go whale watching as one of the only places to do it in New Zealand but as always it was raining so we couldnt do it, we booked into this spooky haunted looking hostel and had a lovely meal instead but we couldnt do anything as it was raining and was like a seaside town so off we set for Nelson for New Years Eve! Jono tried cray fish for the first time but said it wasnt that nice so apart from it raining non stop there is nothing else...

Well we came to Hanmer Springs as they have natural thermal pools here so we set off in the mroning to the thermal pools, they have 9 of them ranging from 35-42 degrees so theyre nice and warm some have sulphur and other minerals in them so they smelt of egg a bit and it was raining so wasnt great but nice and warm inside the pools but as it was so cold running to and from the pools we didnt stay that long and was more like a swimming pool complex outside not nat...
