Today we have left England and on our way to France. Currently floating across the English Channel on a faerie. Feeling ok for the moment but hoping these travel sickness tablets are effective as I feel I could definately get seedy. Just an hour and a half on board though.
Tonight in Paris we are going up the Eiffel Tower. A gorgeous night time view of Paris. It should be awesome.
It's 4:55pm Paris time. We've checked into our hotel. Tonight we're having a meal here at the hotel before taking a driving tour around Paris, then going up the Eiffel Tower. Catching the met back to here and then tomorrow a full day of Paris site seeing like the Lurve, Notre Dame etc. Tomorrow night I'm off to the Moulin Rouge and Andrews off to catch up with Taz.
There's approximately 12 couples on the tour, about 16 solo travelers and the rest are groups or mates. Including a group of guys on this trip. There appears to be 3 Sam/Samantha's at this stage. The people are from Canada, America, Australia and New Zealand with apparently no other nationalities. The Aussies probably make up 90% or more of the group. We've only met a few people as we've been on the bus all day but so far have come across people from Sydney, Ballarat, Cairns, Carartha, Christchurch and BARHAM.
OMG! It's 12:01 am. We've just returned from the Eiffel Tower via the Metro. The Eiffel Tower had spectacular views and was gorgeous at night. Considering my unease regarding heights I may it right to the top, to the Summit. Crazy high!! As for Paris we've done a tour around on the bus. Two things; Freak Out Crazy driving especially on 1 place. Apparently there's an accident every 8 minutes. I'm surprised there's so much time in between. I won't be insuring anyone in Paris that's for sure. Secondly WOW!! Some, lots in fact, of the buildings in Paris are magnificent. I can't wait to get out and see it tomorrow. Notre Dame may now be my favorite building. I'm sorry house of parliament and big ben you may be gone. Big headache here and lots to do tomorrow so best sleep.
Merci. Bonsour.
