Heya guys so sorry for our lack of updates we were hoping to find a computer but as we have been unsuccsful in this i am going to attempt to update date this using the trusty iphone! I am currently sat on the balcony of our second luxury hotel in patong, phuket very sunburt and watching the sun set!

We checked out of hotel in bangkok on wednesday morning and got a taci to the airport, we had never been so happy to b leaving somewhere before! We arrived at the airport where our taxi got pulled over by guards and searched our handbags included! Not quite sure what they were looking for but they seemed satisfied and let us through! We checked in snd went through to departures to enjoy a much needed burger king!! A couple of hours later we boarded and travelled on the hour flight to phuket! We arrived at the tiny airport and picked up a taxi! We showef the taxi driver where we wanted to go and he insisted he had never heard of the hotel so he had to ring them for directions! We drove for an hour before taking a turn up a very steep hill and arriving at our luxury hotel! We were greeted by very friendly helpful staff and a very strange tasting green drink! We were shown to our lovely room and told that the shuttle to the beach left at 8! This gave us a whole half hour to get ready! We went to the reception and waited for the shuttle, this turned out to b a pick up truck with two benchs! Very safe!! We got dropped on the beach front and had a wander round before choosing somewhere to eat! We both enjoyed a meal of prawn skewers and rice with salad which mum you will be impressef to know i ate! We washed this down with a few bottles of chang begore heading off to find the nightlife! Well we couldnt find much but we did find an irish bar selling magners which we thouroughly enjoyed! We realisef everything seemed to be shutting and as we had been aware of patong being the party town we were determind to find it! We eventually did after walking around a very long way! Turns out if we had turned right out tbe restuarant instead of left we were rigjt by it! So here we were on the famous bangla road! Well what a sight! It was like being in tge middle of maguluf (said with a geordie accent) except it was full of barely dressed thai girls- and boys.. Dancing on the bars and to our dismay some wearing no knickers! What would there mothers say! We ended up at a bar selling buy one get one free drinks where we played lots of games with the thai staff includi g jenga and connect four and an intersting game involving banging a nail into a peice of wood using the wrong end of a hammer! Well we got very drunk and woke up the next morning having missed breakfast and ferling a little worse for wear...

We decided to try and get rid of our hangovers with some much needed sunbathing and a swim which seemed to do the job! We headed back to our room and packed as we were moving hotels the next day and got oursrlf reafy for another night out! Well the night started well with a lovely dinner and some chang before heading to another bar! We ended up in a australian bar where the free shots were flying mainly down to 2 scottish friends we made and vefire you knew it amy was willingly holdi g an iguana on her arm, this was then put on her head when it decided to wee all over her and im not talking a little dribble! It was so funny i thought i may wee myself! The staff were very attentive and even took her out back to was her hands where she proceeded to stick her head in the sink and wash her hair! Amy was a tropper and the night carried on wirh plently more shots, thai girls feeling amys boobs and us having monkey/ bats on our heads... Unfortunatly in my drunken state i left my camera in the tuk tul that took us home so no one will ever be able to see! Sad times!

We awoke the next day to the sound of my alarm and knew this ment we had to get up to check out! Amy was feeling rather delicare and spent most of the time waiting for the taxi chucking up! The taxi arrived and we checked in to our new hotel which is once again lovely! This time we were greeted witj a pink drink which neither of our stomachs were up for! We were shown to our lovely air conditioned room and with the good intentions of a little lie down then head to pool we voth feel asleep till 5.30! We headed out for dinner then home for an early night!

The next day we felt back to normal, made it to breakfast and spent the day by the pool getying sunburnt before heading out for a lovely mexican meal and on to the comfort of chang on the balcony of hotel! I think we must be partied out! The following day was simular with the exception of popping to the big shopping centre to buy mysrlf a new camera! I must take better care of this one! In the evening i wasnt feeling brilliant due to a ver dodgy stomach so it was a late small dinner followed by a drink with dan and his girlfriend before headi g home to enjoy the pleasure of a fluid replacement sachet!

The alarm rang this morning and neither of us had any interst in breakfast so we enjoyed a nice lie in till 1.30 before topping up our tan/sunburn at the pool! Thai new year has begun today and its basically a huge water fight so we are currently debating what to wear and what the hell is going to happen to our hair/make up! We will let you know how we get on....
