well another very eventful week down! we hot the clubs on sunday night and it was a very sweaty expereince! we met up with the lads and enjoyed dancing to the wee hours! The following day after some dinner and few drinks we met the lads again and we mut have had more to drink than we both thought as when they invited us to join them on a boat trip the next day we both agreed! baring in mind we both hate boas and get sea sick! So early night for us ish! we had to get up very early the next day to prepare for the trip and grab the essentials from 7/11! we arrived at the port to see a rusty old fishing boat! well the lads had sad it would be a fishing boat but ive been on boat trips before on holiday and this is definatly not what i was expecting! we had to all attempt an assult course to board the bloody thing, a rusty old ladder going from land to the first fishing boat which we then had to climb over in order to get onto our boat! well by this time me and amy were in hysterics and some of the boys were some what confused! we left the port and begin to make our way to sea! much top our amusment the lady on the boat began nto set up many fishing rods! well it was then we realised our visions of lying on top of the boat and stopping of at all different islands were completly wrong.... we were in fact on a lads fishing trip! so the day went a bit like this..... sail out stop, drop the anchor, fish for about 20 mins, pull up the anchor, sail another 10 mins, drop the anchor, fish for about 20 mins and so on! this went on from about 9 till about 11.30 when the drove a bit further inland and we were allowed to get of into the sea. amy stayed on board the boat i climbed gracefully down the steps whilst the lads took it in turns to bomb and dive off the top deck!! eventuall;y we stoppd of on a little is island and had some lunch! very nice lunch of chiken and rice with lots of fruit. the day continued in pretty much the same way as the morning except some of the lads were now actually catching fish and some of them getting pretty into it!! except for poor strads who was unlucky throughout the day although he did catch the most rocks! the fish were cooked up and enjopyed as an afternoon snack! the ays fishing had come to an end and we were driven back to shore not by the captain but by hen....
after an eventful day fishing we all hit the drink pretty hard, mainly to get rid of the rocking sensation and the rest of the night is pretty much a blur, the hangover the next day was hell and we knew the only way to sort it was to get back on it! we ended up in a few clubs before heading to the half moon party! well we decided then and there if the full moon party was to be anything like that we didnt really wana go!
we were a bit sad the next day knowing the ;ads were no longer about! we had a lovely time with them and even when they wernt about it was nice to know they were just down the road should we have any problems. we were both unsure about moving the next day and afer a good couple of hours in the internt cafe we ad,itted defeat on going to koh pagnan. everything was either way out of our price range, really far out of 16 bed dorms! we decided to stay on samui but go down to lamai a quieter part of the island
we checked in yesturday to a lovely hotel overlooking the sea! were hear for 9 nights but are seriously struggling with funds now so gona have a quiet few days! whoever says thailand is cheap the are lying, yeah i supposed if you stay in hostels with no air condidtioning and eat greasy noodles of the street it may be but we really cant live like that! were both a bit board of thailand now as beautiful as the beachs are the people are rude, he smells are disgusting and its too bloody hot!!
were both really excited to leave for australia in 10 days although we do have to go back to the dreaded bangkok first! but weve come this far so im sure we can handle anything.......
