Well, since Monday morning we've been on the move. We left Tupiza by train and headed for the Argentinian border. The train brought us as far as Villazon, where we crossed over into Argentina. From there we hopped on an afternoon bus to Salta. Unfortunately, the man who sold us our tickets was not the most honest. As a result, instead of arriving in Salta at 11pm like we had hoped, we had to switch buses in a smaller city, Jujuy, and that bus left at 11pm! ...

Wow, what a week! We left Sucre Tuesday morning (the 18th) on a bus bound for Uyuni, which is a small city up on the Altiplano. This means the bus ride included many winding mountain roads as we headed up into the Andes. We passed through Potosi on the way, a small mining city in an Andean valley. Wednesay, in Cochabamba, Mark and I woke up to what sounded like the wild, wild west outside of our hostel. We were a bit alarmed at what sounded like gunshots going on all around us!
