We did the diving certification here. It took 4 days. 2 days were theory and skills in the pool, with an exam and the other 2 days were practising the pratical skills out in the ocean. I managed it fine and I am now a qualified open water diver woowoo! The visibility wasn't the best off magnetic island but we still managed to see a fair bit. We had to practice an emergency sharing air ascent with our buddy. Claire and I were the last to go up so we had to kneel on the bottom until the instructor was ready to watch us. While we were waiting a ray swam right up to us, it was very cool. Saw no sharks or jellies PHEW!
