We did a couple of day trips from Cairns. The first was a trip to Mossman gorge, the daintree river and Cape tribulation. At the daintree we went on a river cruise and saw crocs! Cape trib is gorgeous, it's the only place in the world where the rainforest meets the reef! The second was a day out to the reef. This is definitely my favourite, I could do it again and again. The boat was great and the crew were lovely. We Scuba dived and saw loads. Being certified is paying off loads. The snorkelling was brilliant too! We didn't see any sharks or turtles though so I was a bit disappointed with that, however, the reef was amazing. The third trip was to Kuranda. This is a little town at the top of a mountain surrounded by rainforest. We took the sky rail up. Had a few hours to wander around and get the train back down. Our last trip from Cairns was half a day quad biking. It was sooo much fun. Mum...I would like a quad bike for Christmas please!!
