Finally we find some time to update the blog... Really should have got ourselves one of those netbook thingeys to be able to do this on the go, but that would have encroached on our beer fund. So you'll just have to make do with out of date updates whenever we get the chance. Sadly we won't be able to add photos for a while either as a) Katy's camera broke and b) Ant's camera is waay too fancy for the likes of uploading onto this site.
So then, we made it over the border into the US of A courtesy of our car, Frank. Well, we just about made it over - Ant got stuck for ages with bizarre questions from the border control police like 'what kind of house do you live in back home?' and 'what are you doing with her?' (fair question). A sweet smile and a few dollars later and we were in.
First stop was Seattle. Wicked place. We parked Frank up in the fancy hills where the Bill Gates millionaires live and spent the next couple of days wandering around the city, hanging out with hippies at the Northwest Folklife Festival and going on one of those Duck Tour boat/bus rides driven by a crazy chipmunk lady who was married to one of the Deadliest Catch fisherman. Clearly anything goes in Seattle. Stayed in a great hostel - sadly the days of $5 each a night are over (the US is EXPENSIVE) - but it had the most comfortable bed so luckily we weren't 'Sleepless in Seattle' (sorry, had to get a cheesy one in there somewhere).
