On Tuesday I got up early and ran 5 miles on the treadmill. I needed to sweat as I was still reeling from our lunch at Officina Della Bistecca, no joke! I forgot to mention that on Saturday we brought up the rear of the Ferrari Cavalcade in our sporty Fiat Panda. On Sunday we headed to Panzano for a 1:00 reservation at Officina Della Bistecca. Navigating our way out of Florence to Panzano wasn't as easy as coming into the city on Saturday nor was getting back into the city but more on that later. Lucca was the perfect pit stop. We chose not to go to Pisa because everyone said it was a waste of time. The only thing there is the leaning tower. There's not much more in Lucca except a 2.5 mile wall surrounding the city that was built in the 16 and 17 century. It's also been around since 200 BC. I guess that is note worthy as well.
