Short trip (relatively) to Bryce Canyon. Got a great campsite within the park and set off to explore: took the world's greatest 3 mile hike thru the hoodoos (below the canyon rim). This place looks a lot better from below than from above! Wall Street trail was a hoot. Great stars out here in the wilderness where there is no light pollution. Got up before sunrise to get a glimpse of the sunrise at Inspiration Point...very cloudy this morning - was somewhat of a disappointment. Had a particularly awe-inspiring ride thru Glen Canyon Recreational Area. The canyon was unbelieveable. We saw the upper reaches of Lake Powell where the Colorado River dumps into the Lake. Many pics !Drove on to Natural Bridges National Monument and took a look at the NBs in the rain and cool - were expecting high temperatures, but it only got up to 75 degrees; much better than 95 !! Resting comfortably tonight in Blanding, Utah - onto Canyonlands and Arches tomorrow...

Patrick That is an amazing picture. Glad to hear it's less 100 degrees out there. Heat seems to be a recurring trend on both if our vacations!
