Well, it looks like we didn't get our last post uploaded correctly. Since then, we've been to Yellowstone and Grand Teton NPs. It was a pretty long drive between the not much there Sundance and Yellowstone; but well worth the trip. We arrived via the East entrance and had dinner on the shore of Yellowstone Lake at Steamboat Point (a thermal feature). Went on around the lake to the West Thumb geyser basin arriving right about dusk. During our tour around the thernal features we had a very close encounter with a mama elk and her nursing baby. Mama came right up on the boardwalk, not 20 feet from us! We gingerly skirted her as the babe was trying to nurse - these critters are huge up close! After a luxurious night in a cabin at Flagg Ranch, we took the grand loop around Ystone, all 140 miles of it. Got in a couple of hikes, and ran into a fellow PNS ski patroller on the trail around the Yellowstone River falls!! Saw all the main geyser attractions and on the way out of the park, we 'roller skated thru a buffalo herd!! REALLY COOL... Kathy was shooting pics trying to get them to charge the van (not really, she actually turned off the flash). Next day, on the way to Grand Teton we encountered a Grizzly along side the road happily grazing in the ditch, not more than 20 feet from the van... sorry, no pics, it happened to quickly... Went to Jackson and toured the western tourist town and Jackson Hole Ski Resort -> today a long drive to Beaver, UT and tomorrow into Bryce Canyon and another camp-out. Will update again once we can find WiFi...
