Canyonlands-Needles and Arches National Parks were visited today. Canyonlands was difficult to get in to see = 33 miles off the highway for the Indian Creek Canyon-Needles district and 22 for the Needles Overlook. Lots and lots of rocks! Saw some petrocgryphs on the road to Canyonlands, but they were not as extensive as Newspaper rock; though all was pretty interesting with the petroglyphs. Arches was much more enjoyable. Short trip (relatively) to Bryce Canyon. Got a great campsite within the park and set off to explore: took the world's greatest 3 mile hike thru the hoodoos (below the canyon rim). Well, it looks like we didn't get our last post uploaded correctly. Since then, we've been to Yellowstone and Grand Teton NPs. It was a pretty long drive between the not much there Sundance and Yellowstone; but well worth the trip. We listened to wolves this morning as we ate breakfast! Found out later they were from the local wildlife exhibit called Bear Country located just down the road from the campground Experienced Mt Rushmore and Devil's Tower today - awesome scenery.
