Finally made it across the plains! After one night in the Minnesota Woods and one at Wall Drugs, we're in a Pondarosa Pine Forest in SD. Nights have been cool and comfortable so far. K dragged me thru the Badlands today: Up treacherous heights and thru Rattlesnake country. Really tired me out. Saw some beautiful sights in the Badlands. Now on farther west...

joe you guys have put some miles down since thursday,be careful in the woods for BEARS, i'm sure you heard about the attacks in montana. we made it to mrytle yesterday at 2 pm. it's raining now, no sun, the kids are rain bathing as i speak, keep on keeping on, see ya later, joe
