Hey! So since i last blogged we've actually done a lot of travelling, hence why I haven't updated much! But I do have some cool stories to share...
After Memphis we drove a long 8 hours to Nashville and stayed in a hostel with all 9 of us girls in an 8 bed room (I got the short straw & topped and tailed lol) but it was only for a short sleep as we headed out to test the nightlife of Nashville! After dinner at Hardrock Cafe we decided we needed to fit in with the locals so we bought cowgirl hats! It's become a tradition on our nights out to get on some sort of stage.. So after a few wines we took centre stage at a karaoke bar and taught the crowd the Cuban Shuffle (the dance I told you about in my New Orleans blog) then we also were backing dancers to one of the girls karaoke session. It was hilarious- there is a video that will circulate soon! Anyways, after a brief night sleep we got up early to head to whitewater rafting! Wow that was a pretty exhilarating experience to say the least! They were grade 3/4 rapids and I was impressed with our girls boat- no one went in so that's a success in my eyes! At one point we were instructed to keep dead still resting on a rock so the rapid didn't take us off down stream, but you know me I get the giggles easily so I jolted the raft & downstream we headed- oops. It was all so fun but that fun was tainted as we knew we had about an 8 hour drive to the next stop in Virginia. I crashed as soon as I got in to the motel and now we are up on the road heading to Washington DC via the Appalachian Mountains! We're doing a nighttime tour of the monuments tonight & then a free day there tomorrow before we head to New York and the tour ends :(
