My second tour is over and I'm genuinely so sad to leave them all. I'm already lost without having a tour guide and 10 people around me all the time. I really have realised I love company whilst doing my travels.
The last two days we were in San Diego, which is another cool city! We spent the first day travelling there and after setting up camp we had a dinner stop at a Mexican food place. San Diego is close to the border of Mexico so there is an array of Mexican restaurants to take your pick at. After dinner we went to the gaslamp district which is where the nightlife is. It reminded me of Floridas nightlife, which was my first place out in America. Instead of the clubs we went to a haunted house which isn't what you think... It was more a bunch of scary looking actors jumping out at you but in all honesty once you get 'they're just actors' into your head it's not a scary ordeal at all. That night was one of the boys last night so we stayed up playing some games and celebrated his last night.
The next day was our free day in the city so whilst some went to seaworld myself & some others opted for a beach chill day. It was nice to soak up the sun and see the beautiful city during the day. It has a boardwalk with an old school, wooden roller coaster which after riding it felt like id been beaten up- it wasn't smooth at all. After a nap on the beach we met the others and got ready for our last dinner and night together :(
It was such a fun night... San Diego is a wicked place to go out in. The night was brilliant. I won't go into much detail... but that's probably because I can't remember much lol.
So yesterday morning was the last time we had to pack up camp and the trailer. I never thought I'd say it but I will actually miss camping. Next and final stop was LA!! Probably my most anticipated city to visit. We drove to Venice beach where we saw the infamous muscle beach, which is a gym where pumped up guys go to work out and show off. Then we drove through the sunset strip, Beverley hills and Hollywood boulevard. This is where the walk of fame, Chinese theatre and Hollywood sign views are. It was also the place where I departed from the group :(
Such a sad goodbye to a wonderful bunch of people who were from all over Europe. Hopefully we will have a number of reunions in many countries. I'm now staying on Hollywood boulevard and you can see the Hollywood sign from my hostel. Hope everyone is well.
Lots of love, Katie xxxxxxxxx
