So we are now in thailand!
since the last blod which if i remember correctly was from penang we have been to our last destination in thailand which was langkawi.
we had to take a ferry for about 2 1/2 hours to get there from penang and then a taxi around to where we wanted to stay. we stayed in gecko guesthouse which was run by a brit. it was very quiet all around because it was low season and ramadam so there wernt that many places to eat!
place was nice enough and there were some people there to talk to including 4 germans a girl from bristol and a french and argentinian couple who it just so happens have been to practically all the same places as us, stayed in the same hostels and are going in the same direction as us! weird!
we spent 3 nights in langkawi, lazed on the beach and did an island hopping trip which was nice because we got to go to an island that had a fresh water lake inside wheer we could swim and we actaully felt clean after!

Turns out travelling overland into thailand means that you only get 15 days at a time which is a bit annoying, so we are going to have to border hop. plan is to do the south then cambodai and laos then back into thailand to do the north. think it should work out ok but it means you have to plan more to make sure your out by the time the visa runs out or its 500b every day over.

ferry to satun from krabi then 5 hours on a coach to krabi where we spent the night, went and visited the night market which was cool and got some local food and some new cheap clothes!
seems a lot cleaner here than malaysia.
another 2hr ferry this morning to arrive in phi phi. we are in a nice place with our own bathroom and a pool for 400b a night. 6 pounds!
just had a lazy afternoon by our pool talked to some other brite who told us stuff about chaing mai.
managed to easily fill a big bag for washing which we get back tomorrow. it will be nice to have some clean clothes. lets hope they have fresh water to wash them in.

Planning on doing a day islan tour which takes you to snorkelling places, gives you food and drink, more islands and the beach from "the beach" and more sharks!
I brought an underwater camera case for my camera so hopefully get some good pics. still cant find a pc with a card reading slot but as soon as i do ill get some up.

cant think of anything else right now.
