I had a really really awesome day finally the sun came out after another morning spent mooching about the beautiful town of Byron Bay it was surfing time again! There was 6 of us today but we had one really grumpy instructor! We were almost straight into the water today and it was ACE to see sun and NO rain! :) I didn't crash out too many times today apart from one spectacular wipeout when Simon (nice instructor who preteneded to be a wave the other day) decided to push me onto a wave that broke just as I popped up - I was not expecting this and therefore lovely graceful dismount occured! And my last wave in Byron at the end of the lesson was also not a success!

Because it had been such a beautiful day I decided to head down to the beach to watch the sunset and it seemed that almost the whole of Byron had the same idea. There was a big group of us. There was 2 people playing African drums and over the 1/2 hour or so while the sun was going down another 3 people joined in, this gave a pretty cool atmosphere!
