I woke up yesterday morning to more gorgeous weather.......it was tipping down again, and continued to do so pretty much all day!!!!! After a bit of mooching about Byron Bay it was time to surf again - it was raining pretty hard but I was going to get wet any way eh?! There was 8 of us in the lesson today and I was the only person who had been before, this meant that when we got down to the beach I got a private lesson in the water while the others did the 40minutes or so of beach practice. I did have to "practice paddling" on the beach which involved me looking like a bit of a wally but seeing as my instructor was running around pretending to be a wave I wasn't the only one looking stupid! My first few attempts were awful and I got wiped out every time - it was like I had never been on a surf board in my life buyt when I got back into my stride all was good and I was catching waves without being given a push into them! :)

Today the weather has been a tad nicer - I talk about the weather alot don't I..... I was really lazy this morning but this afternoon I grabbed a body board from the hostel and along with 2 people I met on the Greyhound from Newcastle we spent a couple of hours catching waves - it was fun :)
