As we are unfortunately running out of time here in Cambodia we fly through Kampot and only stay here one night. We literally do nothing here, just what the Doctor ordered. Kampot itself is actually a very charming old colonial town, many of the streets house run down old french buildings so its nice to just strolling around and chilling out by the river.
Somebody recognises Tom as we are wandering the streets and it turns out he played for the football team at Exeter University, very random. We stay and have beers with him for a while before heading back to swing in hammocks and tuck into some English food, JACKET POTATOES! YUMM. The man who owns our hotel is English and the menu is full of amazing meals and even Roast dinners. There is no need to leave our resort as it has everything we need such as amazing little pods with hammocks, cheap beer and puppies!
I wish we had more time here as Bokor National Park which you can see from the Riverside is home to wild Tigers and Elephants. But hey ho, too many places to see and not enough time. I somehow don't think I would enjoy an encounter with a Tiger anyway.
