Katie:
From Bangkok we took a minibus to Ban Phe where we boarded a speed boat to take us to Koh Samet, the closest island to Bangkok. The island was absoultely gorgeous and felt like paradise after weeks in busy cities. The journey only took 30 minutes but the trip still managed to make me feel pretty sea sick. The island itself was beautiful with white sandy beaches and clear blue sea that was as hot as a bath. Our accommodation was an immaculate chalet with a balcony to watch the sun set over the island. My only complaint was the number of stairs we had to climb to reach our room on the island!
We spent the next couple of days living life as beach combers which was really relaxing and well deserved. We spent the days reading, swimming in the sea and enjoying the sun & hot weather. In the evenings we went to our favourite restaurant on the island Lima Coco where it was quite funny watching Arber try a red Thai curry which turned out to be spicier than he imagined..! We watched flame throwers on the beach and sat on the beach looking at the stars.
Arber:
the speed boat was amazing fun - it was a real class act from there on in the island was emcaulte everything was perfect and the water was amazing a long way off from the freezing seas of britain our room was beatuiful and we had the occasionaly vist from a little lizard or two which was fun but on our last night a spider came into our room this started an episode katie called spidergate this little b***** scared the s*** out of kate (BY THE WAY IM NOT TO HOT ON THEM EITHER!!)
leaving the island was sad but we had another ride on the speed boat which katie loved soo much hahahahha and then back to bangkok to fight out back through tuck tuck drivers and cheap tailors - great!!
