Today we disembarked early in Athens. A few sore heads from last night but we soldiered on. We walked about 25 mins to the train station and caught a train to the Acropolis. Unbelievable!!! It sits in the middle of Athens looking over it all. The day was very hot but we made the climb up and we were not disappointed. Spectacular views and lots of info about the whole site. A lot of it is being restored the age of everything just blows you away. We were probably walking around at the acropolis for about 2 hrs. Then we went to the museum which was great. We came down and had a beautiful lunch and then we were going to go back to the boat but Danos, Liz, Scott and I decided to walk around for a bit. Danos ended up talking to cabbie ????? Who for 40 euro took us to the Olympic stadium - the original one then took us to changing of the guArd at the palace. We took photos with the guards. He took us to the parliament building where there had been 250000 demonstrators 2 days before. He was very funny, very informative and a great way to end our time in Athens. For dinner we are going to Japanese as it is Trevor birthday even though we did start celebrating last night.
